I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Today was Sant Jordi (Saint George’s day) in Catalonia so very exciting§

As quite a few of you will know the tradition is that ladies get a red rose and gentlemen are given a book (though of course nowadays it much more fluid than that!).

The streets are packed full of red rose stalls and book stalls - in fact as you can see there were literally 2 outside our front door when we stepped out this morning!!

I took Ophelia into Barcelona for a daddy daughter day (and to go to her favourite place Juice Dudes!-) it was very festive and VERY crowded - again the streets were lined with book stores and red roses.  Gaudí’s Casa Battló was bedecked in roses as is tradition.

It is funny coming from England that we share the same Patron Saint. Though I have to say that in Catalonia it seems to be a much bigger celebration. It was really fun.

Ps

Thank you for the lovely comments about the ground floor tour Camilla did. I would recommend having a look if you haven’t yet as it really helps understand the flow of the rooms and our plans for them.
