Tina Winther recommended that I go to the Picasso museum on my work trip to Malaga and I am glad to say that that was one of the places we organised to go to as team activity.

He is one of my art heroes.

This first photo is some of us having fun in a Photo Booth there!

It is a beautiful building. It had a lot of his cubist period pictures which are quite out there and fewer of his more figurative blue and rose period ones which are my favourites but it was still fantastic. I love Picasso most when you see his incredible draughtmanship and his use of lines. I also love the way he depicts children - often his own- so beautifully.

I loved this Portrait of Paul Picasso as Child 1923.

And also ‘Child with Toy’ from the same year.

Very near to his hotel is the birthplace of Picasso it’s the building with the banner - 15 Plaza de la Merced.

Apparently he did his first drawings in chalk on the square outside. It meant a lot to see this place I have read about, even though the interior has unfortunately not been preserved.

What a cool team activity!! We viewed an Andy Warhol exhibit in NYC with a museum docent for a team activity once. It was very different as you can imagine - some kinda risque photos - but going to a museum as a team is a great way to spend the day.
