21st March - bathroom challenges continue (Patreon)

Tonight I am in London on business but I took this video with Camilla this morning.  As you can see the bathroom is not a calm and restful place at the moment! The noise in the video is water dripping constantly!

The plumbing firm came out later today after we shot this video, with a specialist who knows about lead pipes.  He is going to come back tomorrow as there is a special sealant they can try and use to temporarily seal the lead pipes and keep them going for a bit longer .  The challenge at the moment is that as soon as the lead piping is repaired in one place it springs another leak further along the pipe through multiple small holes.  This sealant could stablise the pipes until we can do the proper renovation next year.   

If this new sealant doesn't work they will have to go further into the walls and replace all the pipes with copper now- which will be a lot of work and much more money.  It will be better if we can get them lasting until next year and then do a full and proper job replacing all the pipework linked to an architectural plan.

(rest assured we don't drink the water at Can Punxes even though I think the pipes in the kitchen are not lead.  We use bottled water currently.)

I hope to be able to report some good news on this tomorrow.  

In the meantime I do feel a bit bad about having a lovely non-leaking bathroom in my hotel tonight with Camilla having to deal with mopping up the floors back at home.
