Today I decided to take a few work calls from the 'parrot room'.   My calls were quite intense but nonetheless I did gaze upwards and saw this view which I wanted to share!

I reflected that this is the room where the original owner of the mansion had his office.  He had the parrots painted to remind him of his home in Cuba which I think he must have missed very much.  He also had the palm trees outside in the square too which would also have reminded him of Cuba.

I suspect that we did pretty different jobs (he was into tobacco!) but it's still lovely think that across over 100 years I am now using his office and appreciating his taste in decorations very much!

Thanks for sharing this wide angle, and larger perspective, Ollie! With such gorgeous high ceilings, I can only imagine a blessed garden-like sheltered feeling with plenty of room to breathe deeply.

Stunning ceiling and I’m envious of your parrot office for sure ! Tho don’t think I would get much work done !
