We have been very surprised to find hidden behind the wall at the end of the garden  a tree full of oranges!  Last year when we moved in the tree had a few dried up fruits on we thought were limes - but no we have a lot of oranges instead.

Coming from the UK, having citrus fruit growing in the garden gets us very excited indeed!

It does seem very early for oranges - online it says they are usually from the end of March towards the end of October.  I wonder if January is very unusual.

I am thinking of making marmalade - like Paddington the Bear I love marmalade sandwiches.

Perhaps they are Seville oranges? The flesh is bitter but they make the best marmalade.

Hello! What a great surprise! It does seem early. Yet, I also have many oranges on my tree and lemons on my lemon tree right now in Arizona. Picked many this morning!🍊🍋
