28th December - An exciting delivery for Inaya’s bedroom! (Patreon)

Today we had a very exciting delivery.  A beautiful antique French bed.

This is for our eldest Inaya’s room at the front of the house.

We had the bed upholstered before it came and we couldn’t be more pleased with the dusky pink fabric which goes perfectly with the pink in the wall and ceiling paintings above!  We also love the detail of the flowers in the woodwork.

It is all we hoped for and more.

Inaya is away with friends currently so we want to get it set up for her return home. Hopefully it will not be too tricky. We will post pics,

Strangely this French bed actually came from England.  The English had a love affair with French beds so thousands were shipped there - this one is returning, not to France, but to not too far from France here in Barcelona!

Camilla and Grandma Jenny have gone on the bus to Barcelona today to see if they can find some suitable bed linen in the sales. Our bed linen from England is quite old now and we purposefully have held off buying new linen until we start to get our furniture in place so it all matches perfectly. Fingers crossed they find something lovely.
