10 November - a piece for the grand salon (Patreon)

As we mentioned on our latest Patreon video update we want to create a stately French glamorous feel for the grand salon and are slowly on the lookout for furniture.  As luck would have it we were given the opportunity to buy this piece from some very kind friends.  It was in a Modernist property here in Catalonia so feels right for the house - but it is also inspired by a commode built for Louise XVI of France that is now in the Louvre (see photo), so it fits with the elegant French theme we are looking for as well.

At the moment it is downstairs as it is far too heavy for us to carry ourselves especially as Camilla has got a bit of a back injury- so we are waiting until Mat next comes as he might find it a little easier!  We shall think of some suitably beautiful things to adorn it and give the metal work a light polish. 

We feel very excited and grateful to finally see some appropriate furniture in this historic house!
