29 October - the biggest house in town! (Patreon)

Can Punxes is lovely, but it is not the biggest house in the town we have discovered.  One man Francesc Mercer,went to Cuba and came back with an even bigger fortune.

Not only did he build a huge new church he also built Can Coll, on the south of the town which as you can see is absolutely enormous!!   The colonnaded gallery side is vast!

It is described as being in the eclectic style.  I love the curves on the front and it looks like it has a stained glass window

Around the building are remains of what looks like private zoo with huge cages (now that would be excting to have a zoo in the garden!)

Like our place it needs a bit of work.  Apparently it was bought not long ago.  We would love to get to know the owner.
