October 6th - Nothing ventured, nothing gained… (Patreon)

Today was one of those days where I was perhaps a little less sure of myself, having felt deflated that the dining room ceiling proved a fruitless venture but this time I had chance on my side and found the very man I had been searching for. Xavier Miret i Maestre is, turns out, a fascinating and spirited man who has so much knowledge about the history of the Magical Modernist Mansion and he’s willing to be interviewed - we hope along with a member of the family about Sant Pere de Ribes and the man who built the house, Ramon Maestre I Maestre. It’s going to be a few weeks before we manage to fix a date with everyone together at one table but he is enthusiastic and has so much to tell us! He has written extensively about these subjects and here is a photo too, showing one of his books.
