It's a long Bank Holiday weekend (I work to UK ones!) so spirits were high today.

First of all this morning we went to a suburb of Barcelona to see some of the family who used to live in our house and to see some of the original furniture that was here.  Some of it is for sale so we hope to be able to reunite some pieces and have a bit of that special connection to the past.  We will show the photos on a vlog soon!

Then we went to a town called Vilafranca del Penedès which is the capital of local wine production.  It is one of those towns where are first you are not sure but then the more you look you discover incredible delights - with some stunning examples of Art Nouveau Modernist architecture and we will definitely go back.

We then had a chance encounter with a Casteller - an amazing man who is part of a club does the human towers that are so famous around here.  We even went into their clubhouse which is stunning.  We hope to go back before too long to see them building their human tower in the town square.  There is one happening this week which I don't think I can make unless I can reschedule some meetings but Camilla hopefully will be able to go.

Then back home this afternoon - to start 'Project Chair' which is to restore the old garden furniture and create somewhere civilised to sit in the evening and sip a glass of local cava.

I hope your weekends are going well too.
