25 August - let the Play begin (Patreon)

First of all thank you for all your lovely messages and comments.  I have been full on with my consultancy job today but I will reply properly over the next few days. Also welcome to our new patrons thank you so much for joining us!  

There has been a lot of clearing these past few days.  This is one of the middle rooms on the ground floor which until recently was full of boxes so gradually we are getting things unpacked and stored away.  This is also one of the middle rooms which has been painted white and is less decorated than the other rooms.  The family tell us that once someone in the family had typhoid or something like that so some rooms were painted over so they could be more easily cleaned.  

We have some ideas for this room and these doors which we share in a future patreon update.

I love these sliding doors.  One of the granddaughters in the family told me that when they were little girls they used to use these doors as a theatre.  The adults would sit in chairs on this side and then then doors would slide open and the play would begin!  There are many happy childhood memories in this house which might be why it has such a lovely feel to it.

We are hunkering down for the night now.  Storms are rolling in and there are lightning flashes outside.  This part of Spain is set for a few turbulent days apparently.
