7 August - Clearing the room of doom - to create my art studio (Patreon)

Today has been about clearing this!  It will be my art studio on the top floor.  Doing this in the intense heat was quite a challenge and I still have more to do (including buying picture hooks as I have dozens of paintings to hang). BUT after a good 5 or 6 hours' work I am feeling happy that some progress has been made.

 I hope to post an 'after shot' later in the week after some storage has arrived from Ikea and I get some paintings on the walls.  I am hoping to do some paintings of life in the town, and perhaps host an art group, ....but all in good time!

 At the moment the priority has to be getting the remaining boxes unpacked and getting the girls' rooms set up as best we can.  We are probably going to have temporary clothes rails etc and basic Ikea shelving before we start buying final furniture as we don't want to rush that part.  Over time we want every room to be beautiful so we want to put some proper planning into each one.

Tomorrow's task - to try and buy a ladder.  One by one the old lightbulbs are failing (some rooms are now in total darkness at night) and the ceilings are so, so high up!
