Hi, I was originally going to have the Puppy Sampan Massacre scene be part of the Do Lung video, but it turned out to be a much more important scene than it appears on the surface, and required some additional research on the My Lai Massacre. This is such an interesting scene considering that it is a massacre perpetrated by characters we are supposed to continue to like and plays out in a much more complicated way than similar scenes in other war movies.

In this episode, we’re taking a look at the story behind this horrifying scene, including its last-minute addition, the real event that inspired it, the strange backstory of the actors in the scene, and why this small scene is actually really important to the story.
