SubscribeStar (Patreon)

In spite of recent events related to Patreon I guess it's obvious it's no longer a safe place for NSFW artists. My account has already been suspended once and I never know when it may happen again – every day I wake up not sure if I will be able to pay my bills next month. I'm tired of being an NSFW artist, not welcome anywhere, having to jump from one service to another praying that this time I won't lose 5 years of work because of some bullshit policy changes.

Anyway, SubscribeStar is the current answer to Patreon's crap, it's targeted directly for adult content, therefore it's much safer to use. The problem is, due to the direct adult content nature they are obviously banned from PayPal and it seems the only payment they accept are credit cards billed in USD, which is for sure going to be an issue for people outside the US. Sure, there are a lot of services like Revolut allowing to easily exchange currencies and create virtual cards to do payments without fees, but I don't expect anyone to start using some new service just to pay 5$ for some porn art. Please let me know your situation by answering in the poll.

I'm setting up a SubscribeStar account over there and trying to figure out the payment processing – if it will work I will probably start using SubscribeStar soon. I'm not going to close my Patreon though, I intend to run a mirror copy of it on SubscribeStar for some time, I need to take small steps.

I need some safe ground, because if Patreon will suddenly cut me out I won't be paying my bills the very next month. I'm not a popular artist with a big fanbase that will follow me everywhere. People like me are the biggest victims of this crap. If I would be a big artist the worst that could happen to me would be that my income would drop from 1500$ to 1000$, fuck, make it even 800$, I wouldn't care, it's manageable and a price I would be willing to pay for safety, but I don't have this luxury. If Patreon suspends my account I'm done, just like that, every single dollar of my income is critical and I'm not successful enough to feel safe, because I know that I can't just move and expect everyone to follow. I need to start making a smooth transition and hope it will work out eventually.

How is your current situation regarding online payments? If you are from outside US, do you solely depend on PayPal when it comes to online payments? Can you handle USD card payments in any way?
