Holden's mom also the plays the mom of Rose in Titanic. She plays a much nicer mom here. And yeah the spy Kenzo was working for the UN government. Well technically he was recruited by the UN, what Kenzo said earlier was partly true, he was a corporate spy who spied on other corporations. He was spying on the Tycho Corporation and Fred Johnson and then he was hired to spy on Holden and crew by the UN. That scene where Chrisjen Avasarala blackmailed that one guy at the aquarium, Kenzo worked for that guy. Chrisjen blackmailed his boss, so the spy would work for the UN. Anyway, loving these double drops, and I'm glad you're getting into it. Season one is often regarded as the weakest season, it picks up from here.

I think I should probably say now that there are some episodes the fandom recommends to aim to watch together—you'll catch some of them going by the double-watching method that you are already on, but then the numbers shift. Season 1 episodes 9 and 10 you'll naturally catch, same with season 2 episodes 1 and 2 (these two pairs were both double-drops when aired on TV, each pair aired together on a shared night). Season 2 episodes 4 & 5 are highly recommended to be watched together amongst the fandom (which would obviously end up split if you continue watching in even pairs), albeit weren't actually aired together. You'll understand why when you watch them. Similar can be said for season 2 episodes 12 & 13, which if you adjust for 4 & 5, you'll catch without having to readjust. Since season 2 has an odd number of episodes, you'll be back on track to catch season 3 episodes 5 & 6 together without having to readjust. Then finally you would have to make an adjustment for season 3 episodes 12 & 13, which was another on-air double-drop. After this, the show becomes even-numbered in terms of episodes per season, and this keeps you neatly on track for the rest of the show, IIRC. The reason for the weird mid-season episodes is that the books the show is based on don't end alongside the seasons for the first few seasons. Book 1 ends part way into season 2, books 2 part way into season 3. The episodes in question oddly serve as book plot finales even though they're each like a third into their respective seasons.

"Unique Series" you got that right; I had not seen anything like this series before nor after. Just brace yourself because the unique aspects of it are just going to continue to blow your mind, catch you by surprise, and leave your jaw dropped! Finally caught up tonight so looking forward to seeing you watch episodes 9 & 10!!!

I love your comparison of Julie and Holden and their similarities of their upbringing and very strong moral compass and empathy. I feel like most people don't pick up on that.
