Ahh good old Ep4 of the Expanse never fails to be the one that people get hooked. RIP Shed who lost his head. RIP Lopez who knew the acceleration burn away from the ship he wouldn't survive because of his injuries. My favorite part of the show is how real the physics are and how they are used, like what Holden did with Naomi on that catwalk.

You mentioned a number of shows that have many similar characteristics. This one stands out in being the only one where actual physics matters. Also, interactions among people and politics are largely realistic, and there are a number of good characters. You're watching Band of Brothers, which is excellent. That one is largely gorier than the Expanse.

These two episodes are the typical hook to reel viewers in after some heavy worldbuilding early on (and even still ongoing in this episode). This show does a lot of work to stress the importance of what we take for granted in present day, and how things could go horribly dystopian if care isn't taken to better our trajectory. Re: Havelock, my best guess is that the lower the gravity, the slower blood will flow and the better chance of clotting. Ceres is ~0.33G iirc, so as long as that rebar remained in place keeping that wound closed, his internal injuries would be slower to worsen (compared to on Earth at 1G) and he'd take longer to bleed out. In contrast, Lopez could probably have survived a bit longer, but going at max burn would put such a strain on his body and heart that he'd be gone pretty quick.
