I love what you said at the start of the episode about Winters in episode seven, Breaking Point. The scene when he tries to help his men and Colonel Sink orders him back. You said you miss it when you first watch it because it's happening so damn fast. I love how you described Winters, the way his mind works. That in that moment he's told he cannot go, that he's still thinking "How can I fix it?" That he's problem solving. You said "That's a brain that needs to be studied." I guess you would have to be great at compartmentalization, to remain calm in that moment, to be in control of your thinking, your emotions, your fears. I remember watching this episode for the first time and learned about the points system. It's so sad, after everything that the men had been through they needed 85 points so they could return home. Winters said the enemy had surrendered but somehow men were still dying because they didn't have enough points, but what they did have was plenty of weapons, alcohol and too much time on their hands. I love what you said, "And trauma." After Grant was shot, I love how Speirs wouldn't let him die, he's told that Grant needs a brain surgeon, and that even if they had one there's not much hope. Speirs didn't let that stop him and that's what makes him great. I love what Winters said at the end, when he talks about finding a little farm. "A little peaceful corner of the world, where I still live today. And there's not a day that goes by that I do not think of the men I served with... who never got to enjoy the world without war." I always love the reveal at the end, Winters asks "Do you remember... the letter that Mike Ranney wrote me? Do you remember how he ended it? I cherish the memories... of a question my grandson asked me the other day... when he said, Grandpa, were you a hero in the war? Grandpa said, No... but I served in a company of heroes." I love what you said at the end of the video, about this series being a wake up call and that people need to learn from this. I had watched a few war movies before Band of Brothers and it wasn't until I watched this series for the first time that it just hit me. It's so impactful, no matter how many times you see it, everyone involved in making this did an incredible job bringing this story to life. The scene when the German general is talking to his men, I love what you said, that Winters and his men can relate more to the German soldiers than they would to the people back home in America, even though they were they're enemies. You said, "You're going to gain something in combat that you will not be able to share with anyone else." I loved watching this series with you. I've only ever seen it on my own before and it was nice to see someone care so much and really appreciate this story. Beautiful <3

Imon, will you be watching the “11th episode”; the documentary “We Stand Alone Together”? It was done in tandem with the series and contains more of the interviews interspersed in the episodes and also has more details about the men after the war. It really adds to what the training was like, what they went through in the war, and another sense of closure . For me it is a must watch after each time through the series.
