This was a very hard episode to watch, but I just appreciate seeing the bravery and resilience within these men and the nurses. It shows the beauty of humans with the darkness of humans as well.

It's funny Imon that you wanted to see more of Doc Roe, and then you get a whole episode of the guy. When Lieutenant Buck Compton (Blue Eyes) shows the picture of his girl who broke up with him, well that's actually Neal McDonough's real wife dressed up in 1940s clothes. Blue Eyes is very religious and he refuses to do sex scenes because it just makes him uncomfortable being married. He's basically resigned himself to be a supporting character or villain, because main characters almost always have love interest scenes. I just thought that was interesting. I've never heard of an actor doing that. Good news is that Gordon nicked "Smokey" recovered from being paralyzed. Not a spoiler, they don't cover this in the show. He regained used of this arms and legs, however he suffered back pain for the rest of his life. He lived until 1997, had 5 kids. Last thing, the actor who plays Muck nicknamed "Skip Muck" was in Supernatural. I believe you've seen him in maybe two episodes as Loki the trickster god. Like in Supernatural he plays a very sarcastic wise cracking guy. He's a bit more prominent in the next episode, but he's been in the show a bunch. Anyway this was great!

This was a great episode, I knew how much you would love Eugene. You talked about how quiet he was in this episode, that he doesn't say much. I can only imagine what that must feel like, to risk your life, to fight so hard to save people just to watch them die. I love what you said about this episode, and about war itself "It's so endless, that's the thing, there's no end, it's the same thing over and over. It's so much trauma, I don't know how you recover from this." It's really incredible what we're capable of, just how far we can go, both physically and mentally. I loved the scenes with Eugene and Renee, even though they only spent a few moments together, there was a bond between them. It was sad at the end when he gets back to town and sees that it's been bombed, he then finds Renee's hair smock amongst the rubble you then asked if Eugene could keep going. I love what you said "That was the only light he had for a moment, was her." I like at the end when Eugene helps that man, he takes Renee's hair smock and ties it around the mans hand, to help him, even after she's gone she's still helping people. I loved what you said about Renee's hair smock "This little bit of color, that's what's interesting. It's been so dyer but that's the only color that's been in this episode, this lavender." You said you were planning Eugene and Renee's wedding in your head. I loved what you said about them "Their beautiful, two very beautiful souls from different lands and had so much in common. Their root thing in common was their care for one another." The way you talk Imon, you have such a beautiful soul. You're beautiful, always. <3
