Development Blog - January 3rd, 2021 (Patreon)

Hello everyone! I hope the new year is treating you guys well so far, and that this year's gonna be a brighter one! Let's get started with some plans, shall we? This development blog is going to be brief but will go over what to expect this coming month.

Visual Novel Development:

This next Temptation's Ballad update will be the last one before I switch back to working on Repeat's development. The general plan is to work on Temptation's Ballad for half a year, and then Repeat for the other half. And so it cycles on and on. Sounds fair, right?

The next TB update will feature the first Cole x Sidd lewd scene, which I'm sure some folks are looking forward to. There's also plenty of cute character-bonding moments between the main characters as well as some of the side characters that we haven't heard from in a while. The outline for the next update is already done and the script is on the way. Tentatively, there are about 5 new illustrated scenes planned (most of them lewd ;3)

After this update, I will be moving back to Repeat and focusing on finishing Sissel's route since it is the closest one to completion. My goal is to completely finish Sissel's route within the first half of 2021. This might be a little ambitious, but I wanna see how far I can push the story forward. Wish me luck!

Other Projects:

Some other little related projects I have in the backburner include that Euca x Sissel comic, as well as creating more Repeat merch. I've already put in an order to restock more of those Sissel stickers (they're very popular, it turns out) and also planning to design another cutesy Owen sticker. Phillip will get a sticker design too later on. Let me know if there's something Repeat or Temptation's Ballad related that you'd like sticker-fied, and I'll try and get it done!

Now that my local post offices are fully functional again, I will continue with supplying merch store coupon codes for $10 patrons as well as host merch giveaways. Stay tuned for those!

Life updates:

I just wanted to apologize and take some time to explain what happened in my life over the past month. I really hope I didn't give off the impression that I was slacking off with all the delays. Unfortunately all the misfortune of 2020 concentrated into December for me and I kinda quickly lost control of my life. Just warning y'all that this might get a little depressing and rambly, so skip if you don't wanna read about this stuff. I just really needed to shout my frustrations into the void.

In the first week of December I caught a bad case of the flu and was bedridden for about a week, unable to work. Immediately afterwards, I caught strep-throat, which was less horrible but still severely impacted my productivity. During this time, the rest of my household also got sick. A little while later, my grandmother (who has helped raise me since I was a child) passed away in her sleep from a heart attack. As the only fluent English speaker of my household, I was in charge of organizing her funeral that was held a week later while fending off several vulturous relatives. The experience of finding a loved one cold and dead in their sleep has been haunting me for the last few weeks. I haven't even gotten a chance to really process my feelings because things have been moving too quickly. Immediately after my grandmother's funeral, my family's restaurant (where I also work part-time) had an employee who contracted COVID so the entire business had to be shut down and quarantined for 10 days. Again, as the most fluent English-speaker of my family, I had to deal with all the paperwork and organizing for this whole incident. Aaaand that leads us to now.

Anyway, sorry if that got a little too real. I just needed to unload a little off my shoulders and apologize if I haven't been too productive recently. Now that all those disasters have been taken care of though, I hope that things will run smoothly from here on out! I wish everyone a safe and happy 2021, and look forward to telling more engaging Visual Novel stories for y'all!
