Sketches, value studies, and a preview of things to come...
I'm quite fond of the stylized designs in the top right of the first image. Wonder if those tiny eyes could work.
There was a fun discussion under the latest Nurse Becomes Addicted to Plastic Surgery post about the silent panel and its narrative function. I like how it invites the reader to fill in the gaps, and how it affects the sequence's rhythm. However, part of me suspects I could have created an stronger or more interesting sequence if I had dared to put my character's darkest thoughts and harshest self-criticism into words. Something to try next time.
