In last month's sketch post, I shared my first attempt at the Religious to Sexually Liberated sequence. When I realized the story was going to be much longer, I switched to a tighter camera angle, to make my workload more manageable. You can see my line work, above.

While it served me well on News Anchor Bimbofied and Bimbo Wine, the waist-up shot feels boring and static, here. Those sequences feature lots of quick, small changes whereas this one is a longer emotional journey. The more realistic art style is also quite stiff—I found it hard to stay on model while also portraying the protagonist's emotions with clarity. Even though I was pretty far along, I had no motivation to go on: I wasn't happy with how it looked. My only choice was to start over from scratch.

One thing I do like about this format is that it's instantly identifiable as an "influencer confession". That was lost in the final version. Then again, having her hold her phone in every panel is boring. Removing it from some scenes causes confusion: should we assume she's only broadcasting live when the phone is visible? Is she streaming her breakup lament or is it a private moment? By eliminating her phone from the beginning, we establish that she's always talking to her audience. And, at the end of the day, this is a transformation story: full-body views are almost always preferred.

For an extra long sequence like this, I drew all the "main" stages next to each other, on one layer. Once I was happy with the overall progression, I added the alternate poses.

Hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my process! Things will only get more interesting for our protagonist from here.
