Hey guys. Typing this from phone. My PC fried 2 days ago, replacement parts should be arriving tomorrow. it seems the motherboard died, although it could possibly still be the PSU. Since my previous rig was so old, getting a new motherboard alao means having to get new CPU and new RAM. Going from i5 3470 to Ryzen 5 2600.

Also, I'm finally moving out! I'm going to pick up the keys tomorrow, however there will be no internet at the new place until the 5th. In any case, this means stuff will be slow for a bit while I settle in and all that jazz. But after that, things are going to accelerate! I will finally be able to work as much as I want to, when I want to, without distractions. It's gonna be great. And its all thanks to you guys. I cant even express how grateful I am to everyone who has ever aupported me. You guys are changing my life.

So whats next in the pipeline? I have the Rime veraion of the last anim rendered, but I will need to rerender half of it(forgot to fix aome physics stuff) when my PC's up and running again. If all goes well, that is tomorrow. If the PSU will turn out to be broken, its a few more days till a new one arrives. After that, I'll get onto a VR veraion. The poll for the next anim will also go up as soon as my PC works. But I will be doing some finalizing on the Sombra rig and releasing that first.

I'll probably get started on that next anim once I've finished moving, and I'll maybe upgrade some old models a bit in any extra time I have before that.

That's all! Good luck me.  Sorry for any typos!

Update on the PC situation: its a disaster. New motherboard, ram and CPU arrived, all installed, same issue as before. Fans spin but no signal in any of the USBs like keyboard or mouse, nor in any displays, wether displayport or HDMI, plugged into motherboard or GPU, there's nothing. So, it must be the PSU, right? Got brand new PSU. At this point its a brand new computer. Same issue. Desparately switching ram slots, switching GPUs, even using other power supply cables and wall sockets. Fans spin, peripherals dead, no change. No motherboard speaker so not getting any beeps. Currys don't sell those either, and neither do nearby pc repair shops so I can only order one from amazon... Which is gonna take days and who knows if it's even gonna help. I'm tempted to bring it into a repair service, but I'm worried they will take weeks to get to it. I'll give them a call tomorrow in any case - seems they're all closed after 5. Sigh. How can a brand new pc coincidentally have the same issue!? Hard drive unplugged, I dont even get to the BIOS, screen doesnt get any signal whatsoever. Feelsbatman.

Did you try it with all of your peripherals unplugged? Test with the bare minimal. Mobo,cpu,1 stick of ram, Igpu if you have it and display plugged in.

Yeah, the bare minium setup is when I unolugged the hdd and ssd. Still nothing :( phoning pc rrpair guys now, trying to find one that doesnt just want to reinstall adobe flash player for me lul.

Always use the cables that come with the PSU, do not switch them up. They are not standardized and can fry your PC.

Ziron

do you think your case is grounding out the motherboard or case switch or something.

One possibility I hate to mention is that it was initially a bad PSU that cooked your motherboard. Once you built your new system and plugged that bad PSU into it, poof, there goes the mobo from the sound of things.
