In your swamp field recording video you mentioned "The Elephant Vanishes" by Haruki Murakami and said his writing makes you laugh to tears. That intrigued me so I read the book. But I felt that all the stories were sad and the characters were feeling miserable... What am I missing? Why was my experience so different from yours? I wanted to laugh too... :D I did find the stories interesting and atmospheric, so I'm not complaining. I enjoyed it. But I'm very curious why our feelings differ. :)
