Man this series would have gone way worse for our heroes if Sloth wasn't too lazy to think about how to actually use his ridiculous strength, durability and speed and didn't just run in a straight line. I always liked Sloth's sin-based irony the best with how his indolence causes him to work arguably harder than any sin in the series.

While that's true, that sentiment can also be flipped. Sloth clearly didn't have any interest in what he was doing yet was still willing to loyally follow Father's orders because it was "too difficult" to question authority. That is one of the reasons we consider sloth to be a sin and why it was so important that Armstrong be one of the people to land the final blow on Sloth. He was one of the few people who actually stopped during the Ishvallan Civil War to question what they were doing and refused to fight.

And another sin meets their ironic end. Lust was killed by a man protecting his (so far platonic) love from being penetrated XD, Gluttony was eaten, envy died once somebody showed them empathy and saw them as an equal, and now sloth was killed by the two body builders after one chose not to take the easy path again and stay fighting.
