So, fun fact, the mustache guy had an episode dedicated to him in the original FMA, where Ed and Al take him down from being a corrupt military official. That's why he wants revenge on the Elric brothers. They've mentioned the incident, and shown him on wanted posters, but they didn't play out the episode in brotherhood because it was kind of filler like.
