as someone who never got to see samurai jack as a child and only watched it comparatively recently, i'd highly recommend it. it's one of the best cartoons i've ever seen. ending is a bit weak, depending on your taste but there are some stand out episodes and especially you, with your history in film making (at least you do seem to have one, based on what i gleamed from your commentary) are bound to appreciate those.

And while it might be nostalgia speaking, having some episodes be practically without words show the strength of the storytelling. And while some parts might be quite goofy, Aku is great and Mako(same VA as Uncle Iroh ) added a lot to it.

Not sure u got what actually happened here. The central finite curve is basically meant to make rick the smartest person in the galaxy by building a wall around all the realities where this is true. So in plenty of realities there are people smarter than rick. But you can't access the curve from those and you can't access those from within the curve. By doing this he insured he'd always be smarter than his opposition. Effectively making him godlike within it. Hence Evil Morty described it as a crib for a baby. Because rick wouldn't be a god if he didn't make it so that people stronger than him can't play. Evil morty just 'blew the curve' which means he left the collection of realities that our rick and morty inhabit. Which is why his portal gun was yellow I think. I'm pretty sure this is the end of Evil Morty's storyline. He got what he wanted .. out. and all it took was the death of thousands of ricks and mortys to do it. There's also the possibility that he didn't just leave the curve .. he destroyed it's walls. In which case we might see him again. And shit might REALLY hit the fan .
