Some DND context, in DND, gnomes have REALLY long adult lives. They mature at the same rate as humans (although they're expected to settle down into an adult life at around 40) and live for between 350 to nearly 500 years. So that's how Pike has a great great grandpa who's still alive and kicking lol Also, fun fact, Scanlan is, like, 30 years older than Pike lmao Pike is in her late 30s to early 40s and Scanlan is in his early 70s. It's not *that* big of an age gap for gnomes, but still kind of funny to think about lol Also... I think that might make Scanlan the oldest member of the party? Vex and Vax are in their mid/late twenties, Percy is in his early/mid twenties, Grog is "less than 40", and Keyleth is in her early 20s. So yeah, the horny bard is the eldest lmao. I've been told that's because he was 69 when they started the campaign lmfao
