7:35 & 7:59 I am genuinely confused why Alicia says this. Kurapika has always been able to fight. The eyes don't give him any sort of power boost or anything. It is literally just a sign of him being emotional. How is it a "massive crutch"?

I dunno about that: when we see his red eyes trigger during the Trick Tower fight, he effortlessly one-handed lifts this massive dude with one arm. That really gives the impression that his anger is giving him a boost. Even if that's not what's not what it's meant to convey, it's still an easy misconception to have.
