See, in the environment I was raised "weird" wasn't a negative. Any aspect of you that's unconventional is something that makes you unique. Very few things in life are strictly positive or negative, so more often than not they come with their own strengths and weaknesses. That's why it's great to have a huge diversity of people who approach problems differently to accentuate each others' strengths and cover each others weaknesses. That is also why it's so important to be able to recognize your own weaknesses though, as no one can help you if you don't want to be helped. When I was a kid, I wore the term weird with pride. All my friends were weirdos of some form or other. They dealt with problems that other people didn't have to deal with, but they also came equipped with unique strengths. To me, quirks and eccentricities aren't a downside. I guess it's a little bit of culture shock when I always hear in media that someone's a "freak" or a "weirdo" like... and? Like sometimes a specific weirdness can be grating or annoying, but that doesn't mean every quirk is automatically bad.

I find it really cool that the green ghost was a man in the opening. Like what happened, what’s the lore?

Fenronin (Dorian Dubourg)

"I'll get you more pictures of Spiderman" I'm wheezing "He'll take you on a nice train ride in the future"💀

Cat on Crack

hm, about the food donation. I think doomsday preppers would have the best stuff. Nobody would actually eat their 1 year rations after 5 years in storage or something.

One shouldn't believe anything (at least scientific) off the word of others. Doubt is the default state, then you accept knowledge as you are provided evidence. But simultaneously, you shouldn't reject something offhand, especially if it's something that *can* be shown true with evidence. Science is one of those "trust but verify" kind of things. We trust that the scientists who publish papers are doing so in good faith and that their findings are what they say we are, but published papers have a "methods" section for a reason: so we can verify the results if they seem too extraordinary.

As a white guy, the whole cream cheese and olive thing is something I've had a number of times. Never as a sandwich, but on a tortilla. Thin layer of cream cheese and a sprinkling of chopped olives. I think it is a central plains thing. Iowa, Illinois, states like that. I've never met anyone else who did it. It mixes really well for me.
