Latest batch of work on the Hive!

I'm back to integrating dialogues into the game! June finally finds something to occupy her two "sisters": a puzzle.

Unfortunately, I'm not skilled enough to code a puzzle yet, so there's just a simple placeholder. I found some examples online, but they need some tweaks, so I'll work on it during my next break.

The puzzle reveals a promotional picture from one of the Hive's shows, triggering a discussion about TV. This conversation later leads to a relationship choice where June has to decide which show they should watch.

To integrate the images for advertisements and shows, I had to draw this new background.

Initially, I hesitated about reducing the TV frame and zooming out to allow the characters to appear on the sides and react to the TV. But I wanted Vaabs' pictures to be big enough to enjoy them, and this close-up version is the best way to showcase these images.

The first show I started to integrate is 'Lil'Lamby.' I worked on the title screen and on some dialogues. Each show is going to contain different dialogues, music and scenes, so I'm really excited to start working on them!

Finally, the sketches made by Vaabs from last week are inked and colored. I love this set and the design of the various characters Vaabs came up with.

And that's about it for today! 

Next week, I plan to redesign some characters and maybe integrate more scenes into the game.
