weird, weird ... Isn't there a bit of Aroma Sensei in this Samus or a bit of Samus in our Aroma Sensei. I have the impression that you like this character. Looks like you're drawing it like it's you. I can imagine you doing the same :) .. A little cosplay ... no .. I bet you would be perfect. The mimimalist red looks good on you, but the blue ... also ... in my humble opinion of a fan .. I am impatiently awaiting the continuation ...Make drawings so hot with cold tones ...I love it .. The first one is my favorite .. and the last one the change of style a little wispy ... perfect for a poster style.

You can easily see how your skill developed. But I still have to say I like the old one better, the lighting just does something for me.

I think I prefer the older version more. I like the ambiance with the glow of the laptop screen in the dark room. Just my preference though, it's obvious with the redraw how you've improved and further developed your style. I'd be interested in seeing some more redraws as well!

I like the old pic better, mainly because of the color pallet and how you did the laptop light in it. Still the new pic is amazing as always and like people said you improved a few key aspects of it.

Your lines are cleaner and your lighting more natural, so I'm going with the 2021 version. As others have pointed out though, the 2021 version does lack a bit of the strong shadows and vignetting that brings so much mood to the 2017 picture. I'm a big fan of chiaroscuros, and I think with a little practice you could make some really incredible ones. You already have those lovely strong colors, so you'd just need to take your 2017 shadows and improve on them a little more.
