I am for it BUT only in 5 years, when the fifth season is released. The live action adaptation solves for me the problems I have with the anime, be it the very very very slow pacing and the unnecessarily interspersed ecchi elements like "Hihi breasts", "Hihi a woman greeted me, penis explodes and die of blood loss".

2023-09-03 23:59:12 I think Bocchi the Rock would be a breath of fresh air, only 12 episodes and the complete opposite of the teenage-boy-gorefest that Cyberpunk was. Essentially all-female cast, the author is a woman, there's zero fanservice, extremely low stakes, just slice-of-life comedy focusing on a disarmingly wholesome friend group starting a band in high school. A lot of the jokes got me to laugh in a way that anime typically doesn't.

I think for a popular recommendation I would say "Ranking of Kings". For other series, I'd recommend "Ping Pong" and "Banana Fish". Both are great character based stories and are short.

I have not seen it yet. As far as I know, there are three very good anime that fall into this category: Bocchi the Rock, K-On and Sound! Euphonium. I have nothing against them. Feel free to put them on the Reaction list.
