I like how the conversations in the previous episode between Omar and Bunk and Cutty and Avon mirror each other Bunk avoided the life and Cutty wants to leave the life Both Avon and Omar have to acknowledge where they are, who they are and how they’ve affected the world, they couldn’t ever consider living a different life. Appreciate Lola and Milena pointing out the follow up to that in this episode with their discussions about Stringer and Avon (love the Jimmy McGill comparison with Cutty’s scene) Appreciate how critical LM are of Kima, it’s even worse since the focus of her relationship with her wife last season was all about her wife compromising and accepting Kima’s commitment to her job… and now Kima won’t even attempt to do the same…

I hope you guys find the time to watch all five remaining episodes from this season in one sitting.

Carver doesn't see Bodie as a child, that's the difference. Not sure where he draws the line between child and scumbag drugdealer, around 15 maybe? Edit: No, younger even. The kid they beat up in the first episode of this season was 14. So I guess for him somewhere around 13-14 is the line between innocent child and scum, not even worthy of human rights.

Welcome to Carverland, some redemption interesting things

Switzerland. I can’t remember which city, but there are designated zones set up where you can get high, but you’re surrounded by medical staff who provide clean needles and medical support. Something like this, but with additional emphasis on providing mental health and rehabilitation would be ideal. At the end of the day, there is a market for it and you will never be able to stop the drug trade without getting rid of that market. Getting rid of the suppliers, or simply moving them elsewhere will not stop the drug trade. Investing in education for young people before they’re sucked into that world, as well as providing opportunities for those who are already in it to leave. This is the only way to really make an impact in my opinion

I once again find myself in the position where I want to say something significant about the importance of the episode, but both the girls and other commenters have pretty much covered all the bases. It's what I love so much about this reaction series, everyone is really engaged. I'm glad the girls immediately picked up on just how unbelievably creepy Jimmy was being in this episode. Given that it's just a plot device, I bet that a lot of people may have overlooked it. The interconnectedness of the storylines is really what seals the deal for me on season 3. Knowing how Carcetti talking to Royce (and, in general, what both those men do) will have a ripple effect to the police department, and as a result to Hamsterdam/Barksdale/Marlo/Prop Joe, I really do have to commend the show for being so well written. It does remind me of some of the best moments of Game Of Thrones, which also had a vast cast and geography. Like a chess board, when one piece is moved, you instinctively know that it could effect every other piece, no matter what the relation. I think Jimmy's stubbornness over Dee's death is a great example of that. Not to give anything away of course, because we're already seeing the ramifications of his fixation. I'm having an absolute blast with this reaction series, I truly don't want it to end. The first half of season 3 is what I consider to be the weakest of the entire series, and it's still amazing, so I'm so excited for the remaining episodes, now that we are officially halfway through The Wire.
