Not saying the show takes itself too seriously, but I would love to see an edit of some of these scenes with Brick Tamland yelling, "LOUD NOISES!"

Fun discussion. I'm glad you're both enjoying the show - it keeps getting better (though you've probably watched ahead by now). I loooove Richie's call with his daughter in the car. He's an asshole at work but so sweet with his daughter, and you can tell if softens Sydney up a little bit too. 1 phonecall makes her understand him better. The C Rating is quite bad - but like Lola said, not closure-bad. People will still eat there but it's bad for business and also I think Carmy doesn't want to run a C Hygeine restaurant, he wants to run an A grade serious business. In the restaurants he used to work at there's not a single smudge on a fork, let alone cigarettes by the burners haha. Sugar texted Carmy a link to Al-Anon Family group. It's a support group for friends and family of addicts (like alcoholics anonymous but for their family).

well, officially late to ALL the reactions because there's no way i can't watch this today and this week i'm out of the house like 14/15 hours 5 times a day. kinda ironic i can't watch the show/reactions to the show about a hectic restaurant because i work at a fucking hectic restaurant that leaves me zero time to do shit 💀

That phone call with Richie's daughter was my favorite scene from the episode, I don't recall seeing that actor in other stuff but that was a great performance. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Carmy and Richie's relationship develops, like you said they both lost someone they really cared for, and it feels like their grief comes out in form of frustration and anger for each other. This show just seems to fly by, I feel like I'm watching 10 minute episodes!

So happy to hear you might binge watch a bunch of episodes before your holiday. This show is so easy to keep watching episode after episode it feels like one 4 hour stress filled movie. After the first season's success I was shocked when they dropped all 10 episodes of the second season at the same time again. But I guess like a delicious meal they give you everything all at once and you can choose how you want to consume it.

Richie's actor (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) plays a character on Andor. It's a different role but has a lot of that quiet vulnerability. Defo an underrated actor I'd like to see in more stuff.
