a lot of mangakas did. And it's fine, most of them grew up reading HH. There are a lot of anime characters that are stright up hh ones with color switches. Same stories and all.

the Kurta clan massacre was 5-6 years ago, in this episode they say they have 2 new members, Hisoka and Shizuku. Hisoka joined them 2-3 years before this meeting

Artistic skill is about being able to manipulate the viewer into interpreting your work the way you want it to be interpreted. There are a lot of visual methods to achieve a desired reaction toward a character but it's not an exhaustive list. So manga artists are definitely influenced by one another in this regard but they have to be careful in admitting it publicly as they then run the risk of spoiling their own story. So yeah, AoT was definitely influenced by Hunter x Hunter but not exclusively. Hange from AoT was inspired for instance by Edward Elric from FMA: obsessive scientist archetype. They also share a similar haircut and the same voice actress. People who recognized this instantly knew that the character will play a major role thus making the plot a little more predictable.

Milena (sorry if I spelled it wrong) is right about the word Mummy. It does come from the word mummiya which is originally Arabic and means tar. I guess the English got the name from their Arab guides when they were doing their tomb raiding in Egypt.

The heroes were the Phantom Troupe (including Hisoka, the secretly fake member), Kurapika and his fellow newly recruited body guards, and Killua & Gon. This is one view of who the "heroes" the ep's title refers to.

I just googled and found out that the word mummy itself is derived from the Persian/Arabic word mummiya, meaning 'tar' or 'bitumen', It's the way we sait in arabic too, and that's the reason why It was subrising to hear that it's the way you say it in Serbian.

A well written villain can be as much fun as a well written protagonist. Phantom Troupe are well written. However, with Gon’s dad we don’t really have much to go on. We saw him being cool riding on a dinosaur, but aside from that, we only know he regularly abandoned his responsibilities (running off leaving his cousin behind, and running off leaving Gon behind). If we get screen time with him, things might (or might not) change.
