Yeah I don’t think it’s spoilers considering the show had that opening by that point anyway. But yeah Gon and Kurapika both change outfits more often in the older version, same as the manga but 2011 cut it.

This is one of the few areas that the manga, 1999, and 2011 version all did differently! I believe both anime adaptations succeeded here for different reasons.

I think it is interesting that because Nen abilities are sorta a small window into a person's life, an intelligent person would be able to see a little the meaning of chains (or any ability really). You gotta complete a lot of certain step in your life to make that specific decision.

Also, the girl shown as a specialist in the intro is not Machi (the girl that sew Hisoka's wound). Since you were wondering about it, Machi is actually a transmuter, not a specialist.

Would you like to know the details of the Kurta massacre? Not who or why but specifically how they were killed to ensure the Red Hue. It's unfortunately never addressed in the anime and i doubt it will because of how sad and graphic it is.

The first time I've seen anyone call Kurapika their "sunshine" 😅. I mean... sure. Kurapika is entirely driven by revenge. But he's undeniably a great character.

To understand how Kurapika conjured the chains and how he swomehow changed a bit, you might consider watching the old version episode 45, it is a filler but it shows beautifuly how he did it.

To understand the types of abilities more: The girl who is turning people into slaves is manipulating them so she is a manipulater same as illumi who manipulated his face with needles. Machi the one who stitches is a transmuter who transmutes her Aura into Nen stitches same as how Hisoka transmute his aura to a gum.

I know a lot of people already said that, but I need to say as well, don't get me wrong, I love HxH 2011, but Kurapika arc in the 99 is pure art, it def deserve a watch for those who already watched the remake.
