first, this has no review. we planned on watching only episode 6 and then episode 6 happened and we couldn’t just stop, so we’ll film a review for the 6th and 7th together

well, sad we'll have to wait a week for a review but ngl, comprehensible. i watched all 7 episodes the day it was released so i can't judge. hope you enjoyed the show after me begging for you to watch it for i don't even remember how long 😂 i don't follow sports at all but i saw it on twitter and remembered you talked about him in a comment or something. happy for you :) the other day uruguay won the sub20 world cup and i said, i do not watch sports, but seeing as i have double nationality and all my cousins were watching it i ended up watching it too and we won. great week for sports i guess.

okay, now that i know you've watched the next episode let me tell you something, as much as pruitt fucked up and it was all his fault, i think his speech about how getting a second chance would truly be a miracle broke me inside. i remember staring crying in that scene and the tears didn't stop until way past the episode ended. i think that the scenes that made me cry the most and still make me cry the most are leeza forgiving joe and her whole speech, pruitt braking down and being completely honest with millie and erin's mnologue about death and the whole final scene.

It’s like the show has slowly been building up speed, and then these last two episodes slam on the gas. Seriously, the final two hours of this show are wild and I love it and it makes me feel every range of emotion.

it would not be a midnight mass video if i didn't leave at least 3 comments right? anyway, just finished watching (it's almost 4 in the morning 💀) and i'm not exaggerating when i say this may be top10 of your reactions for me, it was hilariously entretaining to watch. milena getting shocked every other minute and lola getting angrier 😂 i thought she'd throw something at the tv at some point. i know you said nothing that could happen next episode could make you less angry and i know we have to wait for the next reaction, but i'd love to hear if you liked the finale even if it's not as "happy" as hill house or bly manor (emphasis on the quotation marks since not a single mike flanagan show has a really happy ending). the last part of this episode and the entirety of the next are just non stop and i love it. millie for the win with that aim. wonder if you recognise her next episode since recognising faces are not your strong suit. anyway, as much as i'd love to talk more about this show, and really, i could talk for hours about it, i don't want to bore you or the rest of the patreons lol just a suggestion as you mentioned you don't know what you're watching next. i started the bear today and you mentioned you may just and watch it without a poll and i'd be into it. other thing i wanted to suggest that is not very popular in reaction videos is yellowjackets. only 2 seasons for now and another one confirmed and even if it's not that acclaimed i think it'd be interesting for reactions, specially with you two who love to talk theories. i doubt this would win a poll, but maybe... wishful thinking. you'd at least have the viewership a thousands of lesbians and bi women since this is one of the gayest shits i've ever watched lol it has amazing actors too.

Oh man, I second your suggestion of "The Bear". Such a great show, right up their alley for what they like to react to, with a great set of characters, and season 2 comes out next week. It'd be the perfect time to watch it.

A bit off topic, but do y'all think the ladies would like the castlevania series on netflix (just got inspired by the vampires)? A bit more action, but great writing, character development, and art. I really got into it.

haven't watched castlevania but heard many good things about it. it's been on my watchlist for a long time. tbh i miss them watching western animation too and not only anime, but there's not that many shows that are great like avatar or korra were for me. people usually suggest she-ra (which i liked but i don't think they'd love that much) or the owl house (which i haven't watched because i feel it would be a bit too childish for me). i'd love some recommendations too if you know some.

Sure! Western animation is a bit difficult to parse and find the good stuff, especially if you are looking for stuff like avatar. I would definitely recommend Castlevania for one. Samurai Jack is another; its a Genndy Tartakovsky animation that features a man-out-of-time thrust into a dangerous future, dark themes, and the unique Genndy art style. It doesn't have the camaraderie that is so prevalent in Avatar, though. Genndy did Dexter's Laboratory and the older Star Wars: The Clone Wars (from 2003) as well, the latter of which I would also recommend. In fact, taking a look through his portfolio and checking out anything that looks interesting isn't a bad thing to do overall. Finally, Over the Garden Wall is an eerie, almost Brothers-Grimm-esque exploration of American folklore and is a pretty quick watch (I think 10 10-minute episodes). It doesn't have quite the same tone or focus as Avatar, but I though it was a high-quality production with plenty of depth so maybe that will fit your bill. Anyway, I hope you can find something good in all that!

@sand_fl If you liked She-Ra, I don’t think Owl House would be too childish for you. It’s still a kids show of course, but it not only has a lot of dark humor and body horror, but the story can go to some pretty dark places too. It can be really really funny but also make you emotional. And the animation during fight scenes or other action moments is really nice and smooth too. It takes a little bit of time to grow into the show it becomes, but I really really would recommend watching and sticking with it to the end. In my opinion it really is a special show - whether it ranks among Avatar or Korra is another question as the shows don’t have much in common. But it’s definitely worth watching all the same.

I would love for either The Bear or BEEF to be the next reaction. Both are 1 season (The Bear season 2 is coming at some point) and short runtime episodes. I particularly think they would adore BEEF.

Hi! Sadly I think Yellowjackets really fell off. S1 was promising but S2 got so messy I stopped watching and watched YouTube recap videos just to find out what happened 😅 shame because in theory its my shit - mystery box, time jumps and sapphic vibes The Bear is sooo good, Season 2 drops in a week, its short, its primed for chunky discussions and it did decent on the poll (I think a lot of people including myself switched vote from Bear to Midnight Mass when it was clearly losing). hoping for that personally

I'm assuming if you've done She-Ra you've done ATLA and Korra (both great). Adventure Time is interesting with some high highs. But Steven Universe is 1000% worth going through IMO, it starts off very kiddy vibes but you just need to stick with it, there's a lot of really chunky, fascinating stuff in there (like She-Ra+++)
