Prop Joe is such a great character, great character and great actor. I've found that the older I get, the more I like season 1. I spent like 10+ years as a staunch season 3+4 supremacist, but season 1 honestly might be ahead of 3. Not 4 though. Never 4.

This week I watched seasons 4 and 5 over a 2 and a half day period. I can honestly say that this is going to be one of the most unforgettable series the girls are ever going to watch, for the channel and just in general. I've never been so excited and terrified for the girls.

I was loving the show for the first 3 seasons, whilst mentally conceding that it was never going to reach the heights of season 1 again. And then season 4 happened... Whilst I would say that season 1 of The Wire is the greatest 1st season of television (save for the 1st season of Twin Peaks), season 4 of The Wire might be a contender for one of the greatest singular seasons of television ever made.

It's so funny seeing how much the girls don't like Avon cuz honestly Avon, Omar, Stringer, all them are pretty much my favorites. I LOVE almost every character in this show, there's only one I can think that I actually truly hated and he hasn't appeared yet.

Yeah same, I feel like they’ve kinda overlooked some scenes we’ve seen that have given Avon depth. Like aside from being funny af and having great drip, he’s really caring with family (love the scene with Dee and his brother). People talk about Stringer all the time but Avon is the decision maker and actually has the edge and willingness to do things. Love all his contradictions, his ego and paranoia are in total contrast. He’s the Walter White were he wants to live the high life and be the man and deludes himself until things go bad Is the one you hate a certain characters mom?

Yes exactly like Avon is Walter White AFTER his transformation into Heisenberg, like we get introduced to Avon after being in this life for so long has already changed him, for me that’s the point of characters like Bodie, to show that everyone in the life started out young and they had no choice, neither did Avon he had to become who he is to survive. It’s what I always loved about him, he always understood the game, always. Lol, I actually completely forgot about THAT mom but YES her too!!! No the one I hated was a characters step dad or whatever the hell he was supposed to be.

Omfg I forgot abt him… i swear every parent on this show is so awful Drives me crazy when people shit on Bodie, I’m with you cause I feel like he’s one of the most important characters to the show. Till we get the season 4 boys he’s the best example of what the streets do to kids and how they turn into the Avon’s and Stringer’s
