To answer your question about Portia, the rumour is that it came down to a pay dispute, according to the actress that played Darlene (Carly), Carly spoke carefully (she treaded her words very carefully) on a podcast about it here: https://mobile.twitter.com/harleysalicent/status/1179344560247525376 Then there was a news article that stated the following: "As Portia Doubleday explains it, she was a champion of the decision to kill Angela, saying it felt true to the spirit of what she represented since the first episode of Mr. Robot. Ahead, Doubleday speaks with THR about bringing her time with the USA Network thriller to such an abrupt and shocking end." - you can read more about it here: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/mr-robot-final-season-premiere-explained-portia-doubleday-angela-twist-1245693/ Then there's the element of Rami and Portia actually dating IRL / breaking up, that became a "social issue" on set according to other sources. However, she still continued to work on the show despite her characters death, so it wasn't a total departure. At the end of the day though, according to Portia - she had full control over her character's death and how it was going to be done / when it was going to be done, she then goes on to praise Sam for giving her permission to choose that path. In terms of Portia's acting career, it's essentially over, she has decided to pursue a full course in neurology and she's been seen on university campus studying this particular field. She made enough money from Mr. Robot to follow her actual dreams, so the actress in a way is still the leading decision maker in her own life / is now doing what she loves.

re/edited: On a positive note, we can think back to Angela's mother "This is not the end"

I really wish people would stop parotting these shitty, baseless rumors. There's not a single source on whether Rami's and Portia's break-up was actually bad. That was just one guy on reddit saying that, and it spread like wildfire for some reason. The pay dispute is also nothing concrete at all. Can't people just accept that they don't know something for once and leave it at that? What's the point of speculating about other people's personal lives?

@Robbe Bryssinck - I understand where you're coming from, but most of these rumours have been generated from Carly (the actress that plays Darlene) as she's done several podcasts and answered quite a few of these questions. I don't consider one of the leading actors of the show a "baseless" source. Also, in terms of the "what's the point in speculating about other people's personal lives", in the post review they asked for information about this topic so I'm not really understanding why you're so concerned by this? Edit: Why are you going on about me writing they had a bad breakup? Where in the world did I write that? Your leading compliant here is that I parroted them having a "bad breakup" yet I never wrote that anywhere?

Anonymous

Right, they asked about it, but if you have nothing concrete other than rumors that started on reddit, just don't say anything at all? As for stating that Carly is a source: the only clip you linked talked about how she felt there was an injustice in terms of equal pay. She did not state that Portia quit because of that. As for Rami and Portia having a bad break up, I would be absolutely floored if you can link me a clip where Carly talks about that, much less confirm that that had anything to do with her quiting the show. The only concrete thing we have is that she is now studying neuroscience. The most reasonable explanation, if you absolutely must have one, is that she quit to pursue that.

So much happens in each episode and yet the series just flies by!

Jesus Christ, Robbe - I didn't realize that this has gotten you this upset. Firstly, you're still talking about something I never mentioned (they had a bad breakup) - you're the only one talking about that I never ONCE mentioned it so if that's the leading complaint of your rage then whoops? The ladies asked for some information on this topic in their post review, so I provided what the overall theories are - if you disagree with them that's fine but again the source is Carly (an actual actress on the show). I don't have her podcasts montaged and clipped so rather than me linking 1-2 hour podcasts, I linked the only clip I could find that isn't going to be a 2-3 hour audio clip. Again, the ladies asked for some information, this post wasn't made for you, and nobody here is obligated to prove anything to you because we're here to follow LM. In terms of Rami and Portia dating, you can literally find images of them online having dates in public / kissing each other in public - paparazzi are modern day scum and it's clearly been documented? Also, I never once said they had a "bad break up" - you just threw those words in there and attempted to re-manufacturer what I wrote in order to sustain your whingy response. Additionally, if these "rumours" upsets you and has you emotionally feeling unstable, then just ignore the comments and move on? No need to be all emotional / dramatic because you have a specific stance on the topic. Sorry for upsetting you, but again, the ladies asked for some information, I delivered, that's life - sometimes you're going to read things that trigger you online the best you can do is learn how to ignore them and get on with your day.
