Don't worry about being wrong!!! This is a show that requires a second viewing once you know what's going on hahaha so much extra symbolism after you are into season 4 and rewatch. Also, even if you catch up lots of the spoilers are from people who read the manga which is further from the anime just fyi.

So true they should definitely rewatch it sometime once they have finished it. I am currently on my third viewing of it and I’m still noticing things I didn’t before this show is too good.

I just realized this now rewatching the episode with you guys: Levi clearly hates getting his hands full of blood while killing titans since he is a clean freak, but he took his comrade's bloody hand without hesitation. Just found it a cool little detail that tells you so much about him without saying anything all lol

this show has one of the best writing I’ve ever seen in tv and the dialogue between characters OMG sooo good especially in later seasons

Seeing you both teeming with questions reminded me that this is exactly what season 1 of AoT is all about! Try to not get too frustrated about what info you aren't told now and just stay the course, knowing your desire for answers will rewarded, but only when it's time. Keep these wonderful post episode discussions going! Love hearing how your minds are interpreting all this info :)

Also, part of the brilliance of the show is that all of our characters are just as in the dark as we are. Seeing them make life and death decisions in such a state of ignorance and how they deal with that and each new thing they learn is part of what makes the character arcs so amazing!!!

Yeah, y'all might consider watching multiple episodes per review for the first season. Especially towards the end of this arch as the 'previously on' eats up a huge chunk of the run time. Season 2 isn't so bad and season 3-4 don't do 'previously on'.
