Fun fact: The kind of song in the beginning is called a "narcocorrido", which means drug ballad and is apparently most commonly used in mexico to admire or praise drug lords and cartels as they speak about real events, dates and places and speak approvingly about drug trafficking, murder and so on. Some of the real narcocorridos are about drug lords like Pablo Escobar or El Chapo and this one is apparently about Heisenberg, but instead of praising him, the lyrics are more likely to look at Heisenberg as an intruder since he is the "gringo" that took over the market with his blue sky meth and disrespecting the mexican cartel. So the cartel will fight back and do something about him - thats why they sing "Ese compa ya esta muerto Nomas no le han avisado" which means (roughly) "he is already dead, he just does not know it yet", thats why your kind of right about the foreshadowing part, since in the eyes of the mexican cartels, the ballad wants to say that the cartel will take care of Heisenberg, but of course it's just a song. Sorry for the long text^^

Walt is very greedy. I think if the reason that he was doing what he is doing was only for his family, he would continue to sell where he is currently at for the couple (7?) weeks he needed to make enough money for his family. But now he wants to push into territory that is not his and give another price hike. He is not listening to Jesse, who knows much more than him in this regard "Not our territory! Other crews aren't gonna take it kindly!". But then he gives Jesse that hilarious pep talk and convinces him. "I'm a blowFISH" lol. Its funny how Walt, like a teacher, is giving a pep talk to Jesse. However, it convincing him to sell meth as opposed to do better in his life. I think that this is contrasted with the fact that Walt does not give a pep talk to that student of his. I don't think he cares about being a high school teacher anymore.

i agree, that sceen with the student really showed how he is also starting to lose compassion, i think so far in season 2 we have really seen him starting to get more and more cold, and i have no clue how far he's gonna go
