My Toasty Toast

The guy that Bocchi ate with in the forest was Kingbo’s father. In the flashback we see Kingbo’s father with the guy who’s part of the association that ranks the kings. I think it’s implied that he was the #1 king, because he went mad and then slaughtered his whole kingdom, including his son’s wife and child.

Rare

I'd definitely recommend season 2 "The Treasure Chest of Courage". It includes parts cut out (to my understanding) of the manga not included in season 1, but it has great characterzation and lore. It's a bit back and forth in that way. The last episode also has my favorite moment of a certain character.
