Crow deserving the rep for his ten year old actions at being a badass. Beating grown heroes at ten must have made any hero who got to Buzzard tremble. His kids were kicking people's butts. What could the father do?

I don't know much about Crow's childhood days, but I remember he was the guardian of the "World 1" castle. No idea how much hero butt he kicked then, but I recall one person in High School Crucible calling him a "tutorial boss" which is not flattering.
