Retired Villain is more likely but the end result will be the same. showing up at the local bad guy bar trying to pass of the bruises as police batons and not cane marks.

I give them 50/50 odds based entirely on story tropes I've seen over the years. Either they establish themselves as evil villains by killing a faceless character offscreen, or they establish themselves as comic relief bad guys that get their butts kicked by an incredibly badass old lady. What happens on the next page will be a defining moment in their journey.
