Hey all. Well, the new game, which is called Plastic Spouse Interrogation, about 95% done, the last bit of the game is doing some polish and testing. Mostly visual polish, re-rendering a couple of things in Blender, sprucing up some in-game text and dialogue. I just need a little more time to tie things up in a bow. I appreciate you all being patient about it I really promise it’ll be worth it. I think this is at the very least the best looking thing I’ve made. I did a lot of work in Blender that I’m very happy with. It feels like a cut above the Blender stuff I did with Growing My Grandpa! in a lot of ways. I feel bad for giving you all sort of inaccurate timelines regarding it, I know in my last post I said that I’d have it done in 2-3 days, and well, at the time, it really did feel like it! But as I mentioned on Discord I think my creative productivity just ebbs and flows and when it’s flowing I think I get overconfident and feel like I can get things done faster than I realize, and likewise, when its ebbing I get under-confident. Well, again I appreciate you all being patient, and the game will be sent out very soon.

I wanted to also make a post because I was talking with a supporter on Discord about maybe doing like a monthly forum or q-and-a session for patrons. It could be voice or text-chat or whatever we all feel comfortable doing. We could have a main topic or it could just be sort of a free-for-all. I think it would be really cool to talk more about what I do in development but also about influences, past games, future games, what little advice I can impart about game dev or art or writing etc etc etc. I am going to put up a poll here to try and gauge interest. I would really like to do something like this I think it would be really cool and would be a way to connect with you all beyond just posting stuff here and on Discord.

One last thing, I’ve been thinking about my plans in the upcoming months: After Plastic Spouse Interrogation is done I’ll finish up Phantom Limb :: Genius Loci, then I want to take a big chunk of time to work Discover Our Bodies. I want to get more of it fleshed out so I can have some sort of vertical slice/demo to send off to you and also the general public. After that I will finish Resin Of Earth, and then hop back into DOB.

So, please answer the poll above or sound off down below regarding the forum/q-and-a idea. As always thanks so much for your support, I am really blown away by your continued interest in me and my stuff, and I am infinitely grateful you are giving me a chance to make games for you.

Yours In Games,

Yames

Seconding what that other commenter said, but in terms of a creative, estimating release dates can absolutely be a crapshoot even in non-software works!! I'm sure your games will be well worth the wait, though. They've at least always been to me.

No worries. Things take the time they need to take. And your stuff is always great.
