A Surprise Soon – Plus, making a scene(s) (Patreon)

So, because some of my bigger game projects aren't going to be ready until they are done (obviously!) I have recently been thinking of a way to try and deliver a consistent feed of games that are more self-contained and limited in scope than the other stuff I'm making. This is an idea that I had kicked around at the start of the Patreon but I did not really think about how I might go about doing it because I did not have the experience that I do now nor did I have knowledge of my own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to developing games.

Making something like one tiny/micro game at a consistent interval would benefit both anyone who signs up for the Patreon (as they'd have access to a back-catalog of these games as soon as they sign up) and also myself, because with every new small game I put out I get another addition to my portfolio and a boost of momentum and confidence to carry me farther with my other game projects.

So it would be a boon for both you and me!

None of this is final, of course, but I am putting out my ideas to you all just so I can be open and honest about what I'm thinking. Whatever happens in the future, however, there will be a micro game tentatively titled "The Well" that I'll be sending to you soon. And I promise it will be soon! Part of the whole microgame idea is that I actually am putting strict limitations on myself about what I'm allowed to build out. There's not going to be feature creep, in fact, in the first game you only use one button.

Anyway, "The Well" is heavily inspired by HP Lovecraft. It has a well in it. 

It also has a cat in it!

I also wanted to show off a bit of a new area in Ruins Of The Human Temple. The agonized broken bodies of the blasphemers hang dead and dying in the cathedral of skin. Oh no!

Can you tell I'm getting more confident with/falling in love with Blender?

PS. we have to think of a name for the new micro game(s). I was thinking Yames-Games-Micro. But idk. maybe µ games? Like the unit for micro??? I'm just spitballin'.
