new parts of the game + some philosophy stuff (Patreon)

Hey everyone, just checking in, I've been finishing up Family Vacation still but towards the end of last month I had some health problems crop up again that really interfered with my productivity :( I'm managing to be more proactive about treating my symptoms (pain is a great teacher!) so I've managed to get a lot done in the past few days however obviously i'm still not done yet.

Anyway, I wanted to post this video because I feel like I post a lot of stuff from the outside portions of the game, and I wanted you to see a bit more. There's sort of three areas of the game, the outside, the cave/facility, and then deeper in the facility where lab work is actually done. Obviously, you are seeking the deeper part of the facility, however the choices you make and what you manage to discover can lead you to other places and endings.

As of now there are three endings, each with their own sort of conceptual take on the game and its themes. The main theme being about life, biological life, or the intersection of our impulses to live and do things that propagate life, so there's a more domineering (or aggressively life affirming?) ending, a more anti-natalist ending, and sort of an existential/ compassionate ending. Some of this is influenced by Schopenhauer, but also Lovecraft, sort of, life as a Lovecraftian entity that we cannot understand or rationalize and yet we find ourselves bound up in it entirely.
