This is the thing I was talking about in the roadmap post! It's just a sneakpeak behind the scenes at all the stuff that will be in the works in the future. If I mention one that might be in the anthology (one that you will play first too!) please let me know so I can maybe do a poll??

Anyway, before I list the projects that have been started: Some of these are much further along than others! For instance, Star Sign Suicide Pact is basically just a couple of assets and lines of code I threw together for the purpose of testing out how the game might look and feel, while other projects have had a lot more time put into them. Also, at any point the ideas and aesthetics of the game could differentiate from what I describe and show here. With all that out of the way, here is the list (not including Family Vacation because you've probably already heard of it I hope!) in no particular order:

Father Turned Me Into Trees And Rivers: This is sort of like a horrific/gross gardening game. The premise is that you were once a normal person who went on a camping trip with their family and then were made to abandon them to work with a mysterious and strange but very powerful forest creature. Through weird and unnatural acts, you begin to grow plant people who you will use for various game related reasons. This game might be in the anthology, as I originally imagined it as a short game, but now I want to make it a more short-to-medium sized game.

Velum Children: Before I made Discover My Body (which prompted me to start Discover Our Bodies) I was working on Velum Children. To reduce it greatly, it is a first-person 2d point-and-click adventure game that could be considered “dark and creepy” but only outright scary once in a while. I call it a point-and-click adventure game but I wanted it to be a little bit weirder. I wanted dialogue and speaking with weird creatures to be a big part of the game, and I wanted to design the game so that talking to and making deals with monsters to be intriguing and exciting, in both a narrative and mechanical sense.

Flavius (title will probably change): This game is sort of more like a visual novel (or more accurately a sound novel if you are familiar with the concept) than any of the other concepts listed here, although there will be some mechanics/puzzles and probably more interactivity than most visual novels, however there is an emphasis on reading/talking/story. The synopsis of this game is that the protagonist, a young woman, lives in a world ruled by an all-powerful being with strange predilections. She lives with her family in a town disconnected from all other places by weird means. All of the people in the town praise and worship the being sincerely, as it provides for them in all ways and its weird and usually destructive habits are entirely normal to them, usually. This game will almost certainly be in the anthology, and will almost certainly be the game I develop for patrons after I release the Discover Our Bodies demo.

Sneaky Peaks: This will probably be the shortest game on the list (I originally envisioned it as being very short)  but who knows. It is about an heir to a deadly and unnatural tradition who seeks refuge in a mountain cabin. It could possibly be a game in the anthology.

Star Sign Suicide Pact (title also might change to Start Sign Decreation Pact because including the word suicide might be a little too edgy): The premise of this game is that the protagonist’s job is to lead a group of old men who have been chosen by forces unknown out into a sacred forest and into different caves where they will crawl into their human bodies’ final resting place. In the universe of this world, it is the protagonist’s expertise and they are a combination of ranger/shaman/mortician. Its not the first time they’ve done this, and while their job is dangerous (there are all sorts of weird things in the sacred forest) it is an important part of the society they live in. I think it will be a 2d sidescroller (I’ve never made one of those and I kind of want to??) but this also might change. This game might also be in the anthology.

Story Of Omega Child: This is a project I started making a super long time ago (hence the rough art!) but have not given up on completely. In my original idea it was kind of like a Clocktower clone where stuff chases you around and you solve puzzles. The story is about a girl who receives a letter from her long lost father with instructions to find him at a mysterious estate. Creepy things ensue.

Discover Our Bodies: You probably already know a lot about this project but just in case you don’t, this  will be a full featured release that is based on Discover My Body, a much smaller project. Discover Our Bodies takes the setting and style of Discover My Body and expands it greatly, adding more background, gameplay features, content, etc.

All of these look amazing! I'll be looking forward to anything you make, but I'm especially interested in Father Turned Me Into Trees And Rivers, Flavius (I love visual/sound novels), and Star Sign Suicide Pact. For the ones that may or may not be in the anthology, if them not being included means they might end up being longer then I'm all for it.

Thank you so much ! I'm really excited to make those three too! each one has a different vibe than anything I've ever made before, still horror-y but a lot more strange in a magical realism sense. I've gotten a ton of interest/comments on Father Turned Me Into Trees In Rivers particularly, just from random folks online, so I feel like it has struck a chord with people which has me leaning towards making it after Flavius.
