From top to bottom, and then some explanation as I go into each piece. There's some method to this madness, I assure you. Cat/Suit has evolved as a concept and I've taken some time to really flesh it out and work more of myself into it. Now, that doesn't mean what's come before doesn't count or I'm not using it. This is still going to be the world I set out to make and the story I intend to tell, its narrative is just growing into something bigger. More complex in some places, a lot simpler in others.

"Wanting" - Beyond the rework of the concept and a fix up of the setting, Cat/Suit's writing and story needed a bigger 'stake'. My first thought was 'Well, zombies". Just Ash getting home and Stray figuring themselves out didn't feel epic, nor impactful. And all the plot twists I dreamed up didn't really help. It was too insular, and none of the characters felt grounded in the world. I attribute that a lot to how I was feeling at the time I originally conceived of the world of Edgt. Really just... well, unhappy. I wanted to make the game so I could get away from doing commissions and not telling my own story, but I was rushing to tell a story. Since I wanted to really evolve the story and make it something that was way more 'me' and no longer just 'Fetish fantasy game' I started at the ground floor, and worked my way up. What happens when want is a world afflicting physical power? What happens when want equals magic? And then the bottom feeders came into existence. People who are consumed with their own want. One of the versions of those was this, the wanting. There won't just be humanoid ones though, but furry ones and a wide variety of robotic looking ones.

"Stray 3.0" -I ran headlong into making Cat/Suit originally in RPGmaker, and found that pretty limiting on what I could make. Back then, I was just making for making sake, trying to show my intense drive to people to prove to them, and to me, that I had the willpower and energy to create this thing. Then I took it into Unity, and found its 2d tools pretty limiting. Then after some stumbling blocks, getting burnt out after literally a dozen people all message and say 'Yeah, let me help you' and then didn't, I realized the problems with Cat/suit were mostly tied around the 2.5 d. It was suggested I take it to gamemaker, it was suggested I go to a platformer. In the end, what I've been working on is something pretty obvious when I thought about it. I looked at Unity's 3d tools, realized I could set 2d sprites and assets atop 3d base meshes(I've been watching and learning and testing out a lot of new things on Unity), and came away with a new way of looking at it. So with that said, and with just a smidge of fixing, Cat/Suit is going to be a full 3d game still set in an isometric angle, a bit like a stealth/platformer with some neat combat and movement. All Stray's special combat changes are bdsm themed, but they're more acrobatic and showy. No longer using a scythe, her tail is a whip and her mittens become claws.

"The Brocéliande" -A version, but not the final, of a cyberpunk airship model in the first cutscene. The game takes place still in that single large city, only now that city is hanging above a volcano (as seen previously). How it starts though is that Stray is on this airship, and the airship gets sabotaged. Crashes into the side of the volcano, and then Stray and Ash start their journey through a very cyberpunk city from top to bottom. A city full of cyberpunk citizens, biological anthromorphs (Lots of spots for furry characters!) from across different universes.

"The billionth redesign of Stray to find a design I liked" -This is pretty self explanatory. I have been struggling with Stray as a character for a while because her original design was as a girl (Ash) who was bound to an entity (Stray), but the logic of the world was erotic things were happening to her all the time. I couldn't justify the internal logic of it after a while though and as I've been clear on it in the past, I worked so many brutally long days working on Cat/Suit's various versions that I got burned out. In the new Cat/Suit, the erotic nature of everything is still there, pumped up to 11 in some spots, but Stray/Ash are more intricate and evolved as characters both. Remade from the ground up to be fascinating character studies that I'm super jazzed to get into the details about.

"The Candyman." -A cyborg pimp was my initial thought on him. Something otherworldly in design, bizarre anatomy that doesn't make sense when put under a microscope. A lot of the designs for the new enemies are/will be very cyberpunk mixed with eldritch magic. That's the general vibe the game is going in, and the enemies match that. A hint of the familiar with a wild unsettling design when they attack.

More to come very soon! Finished art, models, world details, etc. A quick probably demo in a few weeks!
