The Pill 0.4.5 Release (Patreon)

Greetings and salutations! 

The wait is over and the new version of The Pill is here! This is a major update that adds in an entirely new chapter to the game - the milestone Patreon only update that was achieved when we hit 750 patrons... which... was a while ago now...

I just want to give a massive thanks to all the patrons past and present who helped to reach this goal. If you were a patron in the month we hit it (April) or later expect 1-2 messages with the release details. Apologies for the double up, I just want to make sure no one misses out.

The Pill 0.4.5 contains:

  • New chapter "The Party"
  • Over 100 new character poses/emotions
  • 7 new endings
  • 10 new animations (not including reverse time)
  • New type of animation featuring a dynamic camera
  • 7 new music tracks
  • Tweaks & improvements to the UI 
  • Fixed some image poses on Trish's chapter

This one was a three-month-long labor of love and I hope you all enjoy it. It essentially took as long as the original v0.0.1 of the game and is about as big. 

Now I'm off to hit up the rewards for this month! Next month I'll begin the process of refitting Belle's content into the new engine.

Fantastic work! Going through the party chapter now and Trish seems more likable now (didn't like her before) so that's a plus!

I'm speechless. Comparing with the first version of "The Pill", this is getting better and better. The animations are beautiful, the narrative is great, and the interactive storytelling works wonders. Congrats, and keep up the good work!

Just finished the party chapter and it was awesome. I did find a few bugs and wanted to let you know. Never got a popup for the played us ending. Some speaches werent colored but had the code (color1233....). And a few animations for me were clunky (belle turning around was a jump twist the first time through). Really loved this update and im looking forward to what is next. Cant wait for belle on the new engine and hope we see more pill options for each character (i know that's hard to code so no rush) . Or more transformations like in belles Chapter with the wizard.

Dear lord mannn!!!!! This is a MASTERPIECE! There's no other way to put it. A complete masterpiece! I loved it all! The animations were epic. The writing was flawless and hilarious. The endings were amazing! Particularly liked the tiny Trish ending with her managing to wrap her lips around that pill! And the teaser for helium pills to one day appear was icing on the cake! The foray into some Wonka inspired goodness was a welcome sight as well! Totally awesome job man!

Pretty good stuff here in this update. Even a well done shrinking animation (shrinking is not my thing, why go small when you can be big?) that surprised me. The only things I wished were a more noticeable ass expansion (they way Belle stands facing you after it happens just doesn't do much for me) but I'm a more extreme sizes guy. The height Trish gets is great and those tall pictures are phenomenal (even though you never see a height animation for Belle). Really the only thing I disliked was the blueberry inflation but that stems from my disdain of that fetish, I just don't like it. If it was weight gain (especially massive/extreme weight gain) I would be all over it but maybe for another day. Still good work on the update + new chapter.

Thanks for letting me know - I'll do a double check of the code. For some reason, those colorless text instances only happen on occasion, not consistently so it's hard to nab in playtesting. Glad you enjoyed it though!

Thanks Makatoshi. The shrinking I know isn't for everyone, but glad you liked it. It is true, I know that there are some elements that each person missed out on, (which I'm actually looking to rectify a bit with a Sweater Stretcher reward this month). The blueberry one has been a bit polarizing, which is why I didn't invest multiple story arc to it as it's a niche subset. Plenty of other stuff there though! Personally for me, if it has BE in it, be it standard, shrinking, giantess, stealing or whatever then I'm down.

Loving "the party" so far, with the android version the only problems ive encountered so far have been, the screen not being locked to landscape or potrait so it often streches the resolution (could just be my device), and animations wont play during gameplay, they do however work in the gallery (agian could be my device), but im exetremely impressed with the final product and I thank you for your work.

Amazing work! I really enjoyed everything you've put into this release! in particular the shrinking + BE, I was not expecting that but I was happily surprised! Really well done, keep up the good work! (Oh and count me in as one of the people hoping for a helium addition in the future :) )

Glad to hear it's working at all to be honest. I'll try to sort out the landscape v portrait in a future update, but the videos are trickier. They worked on my phone but given the wide variety of mobiles I can see them not working for everyone.

i am simply in LOVE with this newest update. Was very much surprised with your Wonka ending, and it got me thinking. Maybe for future updates you can try some belly/pregnancy expansion, or many some furry transformation, or even a multi-breast option. You've done such a fantastic job with your work and perhaps it time to get some wild stuff happening lol. Also, i was able to get all the endings but no matter what i do i cant seem to get to the happy ending again, to be honest i was kinda button mashing and accidentally skipped over some game speech that i would liked to actually read. maybe you could me out a tad bit?

Just a heads up my surname in the credits is spelt wrong the credits say Max Hancock but my surname is spelt Hancox (don't worry happens to me all the time) just thought I'd let you know.

Hey Daniel, really glad you're enjoying it! In truth I probably won't go down the pregnancy path beyond it being an instigator for regular BE and I'm likely not going to go furry purely because it's not well suited to the very "realistic" style of rendering I do (it works way better with a more cartoony element). Will definitely consider some belly expansion though. If I go down multiboob it'll be from the results of a poll I think, as it's not expansion in the traditional sense. I'll shoot you a msg with how to get to the secret ending.

The missing Trish ending must have been a bug of some kind, because I went back through it on a new game and got them all. Still missing the illusive secret ending however.

All of Trish's endings should be accessible in 0.4.5 - what's the name of the achievement you haven't got yet?

I've got all the achievements in this version, but Trish's endings say 8 out of 9. All the rest or not available in this version

Hm that's strange. Is it possible that you restarted the game after finding one of the endings? Restarting it will set the ending counter back to zero while the achievement remains unlocked.

It's possible that you retain them but I'm not positive to be honest. Whenever I bug test it I start by wiping my achievement progress so I can test them (you can do this in the gallery menu) so it has never really come up for me. I can say though that if you have unlocked all the achievements then you will have experienced all the endings. They should only unlock once you've found them.
